Muhammad Ali Bogra became the Prime Minister in 1953 |
Khawaja Nazimuddin was dismissed by the Governor General, Malik Ghulam Muhammad on April 17, 1953, and replaced by Muhammad Ali Bogra.
Bogra was then the Pakistani Ambassador to United States. He realized the insecurity of his office, and passed an act stripping the Governor General of his overriding powers at a time when Malik Ghulam Muhammad was out of the then capital, Karachi.
